The dragon, imagination, try to grow roots in our life; It convey a nest among the coal. Coal, a metaphor for life, is dull, glum and dead and imagination does not belong among it. It tried to fit in but was rejected as the world is incapable(p) of perceiving imagination which was therefore out of place. Its verbalize of inquire and creativity is silent here. Patten condemns those who are unfertile and shit the dragon feel a misfit. He ends the poem by challenging for the reader, using the word I to make it to a greater extent personal, to go beyond the roughhewn perception and closed minds of mankind and to appreciate the complexity of imagination and creativity, letting it work its invocation on our mundane lives. The phrase affaird is simple and inspires a mood of mystery with use of words such as hazel-nut, dandelion and roots of stars. The appearance is conversational and natural and on with the free verse, irregular beat and lack of rhyme scheme, not conforming to formal patterns...!
